Georgia Arbor Day
Did you know that Georgia has its own Arbor Day, separate from National Arbor Day? That is because it is typically too hot to plant in Georgia during National Arbor Day in April! So instead, Georgia celebrates its own Arbor Day on the third Friday of February every year. Each year, STF commits to planting at least one tree in each municipality of Chatham County. For 2021, we are going big! We will be planting at least 100 trees across the county! Keep an eye on the calendar as we confirm plantings so you can join one that is in your own municipality.
