Support the Savannah, GA Community Tree Nursery!

Savannah’s captivating tree canopyis enjoyed by residents as well as over 14 million visitors annually. Our trees help contribute to a more sustainable Savannah, combating rising sea levels, stormwater, and temperatures. What is Savannah without its trees? For the past 41 years, Savannah Tree Foundation (STF) has protected and planted our urban forest so that we never have to find out the answer to that question.

Savannah Community Tree Nursery Benefits:

We need your help to raise the initial $40,000 capital investment in the nursery! Funds will cover site build out, irrigation installation, the first year of planting materials and supplies, and on-site storage.
With this initial investment, we project that the nursery will be self-sustaining within two years.

About the Campaign

Please consider donating today, every little bit will help!

Today, our urban forest is facing challenges like construction and climate change that have diminished our regional tree canopy. It is time for us to be the visionaries who plant our future canopy. Building on trailblazing work in urban forest preservation, Savannah Tree Foundation is once more innovating new ways to ensure Savannah continues to be the Forest City.

To secure this legacy, Savannah Tree Foundation is now spearheading Savannah’s first Community Tree Nursery. A nursery that will preserve Savannah’s historic trees, increase tree planting and distribution volume, and maintain a diverse and top-tier inventory of native trees genetically adapted to our local climate.
