VOLUNTEER
Volunteering with Savannah Tree Foundation is a fun and fulfilling way to learn about Chatham County’s trees and give back to our community. Volunteers are crucial to our ability to plant and maintain trees–we’d love your help!
Our tree planting volunteer opportunities align with Coastal Georgia’s tree planting season, October to March. We may have additional, non-planting volunteer opportunities at other times of the year.

SUSTAINING MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP
Support Savannah Tree Foundation with an easy, recurring monthly donation, which allows us to sustainably protect and grow Chatham County’s urban forest through tree planting, community engagement, and advocacy.
STF sustaining members have access to sustainer-only workshops, pre-ordering for tree sales, and exclusive merchandise and discounts. New members also receive a free STF bumper sticker!

GENERAL DONATIONS
Grow Savannah’s urban forest with a one-time donation in support of our tree planting and protecting efforts.
MEMORIAL DONATIONS
Honor a loved one with a donation in their name. All donations will support community trees in the upcoming planting season.
Your tax-deductible donation supports Savannah Tree Foundation’s educational and training opportunities, volunteer events, and seasonal tree plantings. STF is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, EIN 58-1494721.
At this time, we cannot plant a specific tree for a memorial donation. All memorial funds will contribute to tree planting events in the coming planting season. The honoree or their family will receive a certificate from STF informing them of your donation. Please call 912-233-TREE with any questions.Â

Sponsor Our Annual Green Gala
Join us as we celebrate Savannah’s trees at our annual fundraiser held on Earth Day weekend. Green Gala proceeds support our community planting and tree distribution projects throughout the year.

Sponsor An Exclusive Planting Event
Staff will work with you to identify potential planting dates and locations based on your organization’s interests, location, and group size. Exclusive events must plant a minimum of 10 trees. Sponsor benefits include year-round recognition on the STF website and a partnership highlight at the Green Gala.
Suggested donations begin at $5,000 to cover tree costs, future maintenance, project planning, and logistics.Â
Schedule An Exclusive Education Event
STF offers half-day tree walks, skills trainings, and talks on a variety of topics, ranging from native trees to proper pruning techniques. Work with our staff to craft the perfect team-building event.
Suggested donations begin at $1,000 to cover planning and logistics.Â
Join A Scheduled Project
Bring your team to help with a community planting event or tree distribution. We host community tree plantings most Saturdays in January and February. We also host tree giveaways, maintenance projects, and more throughout the year.
